How much time do I need in Pula?
The essential guided tour lasts 1.5–2 hours and covers the Arena, Twin Gate, Gate of Hercules, the Giardini, Arch of the Sergii, Sergia Street, the Punishment of Dirce mosaic, Forum Square, Kandler Street, and the Cathedral, viewed from outside. The extended three-hour visit follows the same itinerary and adds Venetian Castle and the Zerostrasse underground tunnels; tunnel tickets are purchased on site. The permanent exhibition inside the Temple of Augustus is visited independently with a separate ticket. A half day also includes the market and a coffee break. With a full day, after the guided city-center walk, you can continue independently around the Habsburg fortress circuit, visit Pula Aquarium inside Fort Verudela, see the Galerion exhibition on the waterfront about Austro-Hungarian Pula, and explore exhibitions at the Sacred Hearts Church. Museum and exhibition visits are not guided by me; admission is paid separately.
